Background

This operation was to off-load and ingress 6 no.
12 m long cabins, each weighing 6,000 kgs, which
were then to be double stacked within an enclosed
building.

The location was immediately adjacent to Newcastle
airport, so it was therefore impossible to hoist the
cabins through the roof, due to the length of crane
boom which would be required.

Our solution was to utilise 4 no. heavy duty
industrial fork trucks to lift corners of the each of the
upper cabins, and hold suspended whilst our
personnel then skated the lower cabins beneath.
The double stacked cabins were then moved into
final position inside the building.
